Christmas was great, due in large part to me running away to my loom when the crowd got too deep and thick at one or two points in the day. Pics below show the mass that was 50 people in my parents living room opening presents, notice they spill into hallways and other rooms. At one point there was 20 people standing in the laundry room (a typically small room) listening to a story. I don't know if you can tell in this picture but my uncle is sleeping in a chair in the middle of all the chaos. At one point there was 3 uncles and my Dad sleeping in the living room while the little kids watched a movie. Too funny~



Gifties were awesome, got some things I really wanted. Some I didn't know I really wanted, but was thrilled to get, and everyone of them was a surprise which was the best of all!! I hate it when I figure it out ahead of time. Funny how much our lives have changed, there was a time when Craig would have pulled a hunk of wool out of a box and said "What the hell?" But he was very excited to find 3 yards of pile weaving for his new coat which was in a seperate box!

Is anyone affiliated with a weaver's guild or network of folks that could assist in finding straps for the Estrella Bags? Stats: Wool, apx 70 inches long, 2-3 inches wide

Seeking individuals interested in making an 8 x 8 inch patch to applique to the Estrella Bags. We are using elements of the different kingdom's populace devices. Please, let me know if you are interested. The square patch base should be either wool or linen. Time line- 12th Night to allow time to finish bags.

In what was described as an act of terrorism, a Nigerian passenger attempted to ignite an incendiary device aboard a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Friday as the plane began its approach for landing, federal officials said. Other passengers overpowered the man and the plane landed safely.

this motherfucker had some powder in a vial strapped to his leg. then then injected some liquid into it with a syringe. it combusted.

remember the shenanigans regarding absolutely, positively no carryon liquids after the incident a few years ago. there were trash bins full of bottles of shampoo, wine, perfume, body lotion, etc. in the news for weeks as people were made to throw items away before going through security. then finally being permitted to carry 3oz containers in quart baggies in carryon luggage. however do not dare bring a bottle of water through ever you terrorist, you. buy some on the other side now that you can. remember when no liquids not even water could be bought in the stores on the secure side of the security screening so you could take a multi-hour flight parched. ah yes. those were the days i look forward to returning to.

so, now i expect we will not be permitted to carry anything in a suitcase on a plane that are toiletries. nothing. nada.

In an attempt to create fabulous bags for Estrella, we are in need of seventeen wide (2 to 3 inches)woven bands preferably out of wool for the straps (70 inches long).

The Pennsic largesse that An Tirian artisans contributed was amazing in both quality and quantity. His Majesty Cedric commented that An Tir really shined at the state dinner during the gift exchange.
